Darlin’ Deals Review ~ Delivery Man on Blu-Ray {starring Vince Vaughn}

Disclaimer: I was sent a complimentary copy of Delivery Man on Blu-Ray. I was not persuaded to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

For the first time I had the pleasure of reviewing a non-children’s based movie, which was a welcomed change of pace for me since I rarely watch anything that isn’t animated nowadays 😉 I was offered a complimentary copy of Delivery Man, starring Vince Vaughn, to review. This movie releases to the public today, March 25th.

This movie starts off with an unreliable guy David Wozniak, played by Vince Vaughn. He works at his family’s business driving a meat truck and although he is employed he still has a mountain of financial troubles. After a day filled with mishap he comes home to his apartment to find a lawyer in his living room. The lawyer informs him that his past has caught up with him. Apparently money woes are nothing new to David, years prior he earned extra money donating at a Fertility Clinic. He is given the news that he is the biological father of 533 children! Of those 533 children (now all adult age) 142 of them are petitioning to find out his identity. David then goes on an ‘undercover mission’ to get to know his children without actually revealing who he is.

This movie will be sure to keep you laughing and wondering if his identity will ever be revealed, but with a PG-13 rating make sure you don’t sit down to watch this with the young ones.

This clip was a total crack-up, it was the first time David (Vaughn) denies who he is:

Darlin’ Deals Review ~ Disney’s Frozen on Blu-Ray & DVD Combo Pack!

Disclaimer: I was sent a complimentary copy of Disney’s Frozen on Blu-Ray & DVD combo pack for review. I was not persuaded to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Would you believe that I never got a chance to see Disney’s Frozen in theatres?! So you can imagine my excitement and my son’s elation when I was offered a complimentary copy of Frozen on Blu-Ray + DVD combo pack to review! I decided to make a picnic dinner/movie night of it. We brought our plates down to the coffee table and watched the magical story unfold while eating homemade Pizza Bagels.

The story starts off with two young sisters, Anna and Elsa, who are the best of friends. These girls are princesses that enjoy playing together inside their castle, but one of them is no ordinary princess. Elsa has magic powers that allow her to create winter weather at the zap of a finger. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have great control over her powers and one day while playing she injures her sister. In order to keep her sister Anna safe Elsa is forbidden from playing with her and the castle is locked up. As time goes on Elsa learns to control her powers (somewhat) and the day comes when she is to be crowned Queen. During the celebration a disagreement between the sisters breaks out and Elsa loses control turning the entire kingdom into a winter wonderland and then flees. The story continues with a race to find Elsa while protecting the kingdom from being frozen forever. Along the way Anna meets some fun characters like Olaf the Snowman, Hans the ice sales man and his trusty Reindeer Sven. Olaf was my son’s favorite character, his silly wit and naïve nature make him such a loveable ball of snow.

Frozen is sure to warm the hearts of your entire family 😉

Here is a clip from my favorite part of the movie, it is so funny kids and adults will both laugh out loud:

This clip is from the scene where Elsa sings “Let it Go” the award winning song performed by Idina Menzel:
