Darlin’ Deals Review & Giveaway: Sleeping Baby’s Flying Squirrel PJ!

Flying Squirrel Review

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary Sleeping Baby Flying Squirrel PJ in exchange for my honest review. I was not persuaded to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own except for factual information about product.

Sleep is a vital part of life. Rest gives your body a sense of rejuvenation. Then why is it that during one of the most exhausting times in an adult’s life, parenthood, there seems to be such a shortage of slumber? I have been blessed with 2 beautiful, healthy children; however both of them hate sleep. I tried everything during the early months to get them to fall asleep and most importantly STAY ASLEEP!

With my first-born I used swaddles and pacifiers. With that combination I was only able to successfully get him to fall asleep, but as soon as the paci fell out of his mouth Mommy was being called via screams and cries every 45 minutes throughout the night. Then of course came the dreaded age where they start rolling over and swaddles are no longer safe.

Needless to say when Baby #2 arrived and she also had a strong dislike for catching Z’s I was beyond frustrated. To make matters worse she didn’t like swaddles OR pacifiers (ahhhhh!). Luckily I happened upon a company called Sleeping Baby with a unique line of bedtime wear for little ones. Among their innovative products is a life-saving sleep sack style outfit called the Zipadee-Zip. The Zippy, as its commonly called, is created for babies ages 3-24 months old and is safe for babies that have begun rolling over due to its ‘wing-span’ design that provides excess room for baby to move around. The hands and feet are kept secured inside this cozy sack to provide a womb-like feel. Zipadee Zip

However, due to my daughter’s thumb-sucking preference I was looking for something that would allow for her to be contained in a sleeping sack style PJ with the freedom to have access to her precious soothing thumb.

Thumb Mimis

Imagine my excitement when I discovered that this awesome company had created something that covered all my daughter’s needs with a PJ called the Flying Squirrel! This adorable jammy is designed for children ages 12 months – 5 years old. It is a blanket style pajama that has optional hand and foot coverings to keep your little one snug and comforted without the need for loose blankets. With the wonderful option of being able to leave 1 hand free while wearing the Flying Squirrel I knew I had found a replacement for the generic sleep sacks that my 19 month old was quickly outgrowing.

  17. My youngest does neither! My older 2 both used pacis

  18. We love our zippy!!! It’s great for babies with eczema to keep them from scratching.

  19. When my baby girl was newborn she did use a pacifier. She has never sucked her thumb. She stopped taking the pacifier at about 6 months old. She hasn’t had one ever since. She will scream bloody murder if you try and put one in her mouth now.
