Isn’t it amazing how young girls from all walks of life have at least one thing in common – most young girls spend their early years wishing they were a real life princess. Whether or not that dream passes after the years of childhood imagination transforms into realistic thoughts, women still desire to be thought of as beautiful. We trade our plastic tiaras for makeup and our dress-up clothes for purses and high heels. One of the highlights of femininity is a woman’s hair. We love to dye it, cut it, and style it often.

However, not all ladies have hair that is the most manageable. Some have to combat frizz or fine straight hair that won’t hold a curl. Personally, I struggle with frizz and extremely thick hair that prevents me from styling it due to its weight.

Instead of fighting the hairbrush and curling iron everyday some women choose to wear wigs because they solve all the bad hair day problems by looking flawless every time you put it on. What a relief!

If you’re in the market for new tresses, why not check out the gorgeous line available through Divatress¬†wigs!

Divatress gets it name from a combination of the word Diva (which all us gals are in some way ūüėČ ) and tress meaning hair. So head on over to check out some amazing diva hair available in a variety of lengths, colors, styles, and even synthetic or human hair. Their website has tons of helpful tips on how to style the wigs, detailed care instructions, and even offers accessories for their line of wigs.

Cars.com Car Seat Safety Ratings!

Cars Check

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. I was not persuaded to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own unless otherwise noted. Images are courtesy of Cars.com website.

Searching for a new car can be a tedious task. Whether you are in the market for a car, truck, or van there are so many variables to consider. There’s vehicle cost, fuel economy, seating capability, extended warranties and the list goes on. Of course if you have young children you also want to consider how the vehicle’s seating will accommodate a car seat.

Its important to know which cars have the best car seat options. Luckily, this part of the car buying process has been handled by Certified Child Safety Passenger Technicians that conduct car seat installations tests on a variety of cars that are on the market and rate them? As you can see from the image below there are individual ratings given to the different types of seat attachments. Since each directional installation is rated you can decide which car would be the best for the age/stage of your child depending if they are rear facing or forward facing and even more specifically if the car seat is a click style infant seat or a latch attaching seat.

Cars car seat rating

This will take the stress out of deciding which car best suits your family based on the stage that your child(ren) are in.

Cars.com has a wonderful section on their website that includes specific cars and their ratings based on car seat safety. If you’re in the market for a new car, check this out first!

Now all you have to worry about is what color car you’ll chose ūüėČ

Darlin’ Deals Review ~ Clean Router! {Internet Protection}

CLean Router

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary Clean Router in exchange for my honest review. I was not persuaded to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own except for factual information about product.

Being a parent is the hardest job I’ve ever had. Yes,¬†I called it a job. Of course its a blessing to raise children, but unlike most positions in the work force parenthood doesn’t come with an Employee Manual. You¬†get a lot of hands on experience once you become a Mother or Father. Most of what¬†parents learn about how to raise a child¬†is through trial and error…¬†lots and lots of error ūüėČ There are some things that are perfectly safe to learn through the trial and error process when it comes to raising children.¬†Such as¬†the process of figuring out what foods those tiny humans¬†like by watching them throw all the peas on the floor.

However, there are some parenting mistakes that you don’t get a second chance with. One of those things¬†is protecting their innocence. Things that are seen can¬†never be unseen.¬†So now that my kids are growing out of the throwing peas off the ledge of the highchair stage and moving into the realm of technological entertainment I have begun to research ways to ensure my children are protected from the multitude of inappropriate content that the internet seems to shove in our face daily.

Clean Router Image

In my search I came across a nifty invention called the Clean Router. Just like a generic router it hooks up to any PC or laptop.¬†¬†The feature that sets it apart from a typical router is the software loaded on it that can be customized to block specific types of websites! In addition to blocking sites it also has personalized options that will include a Daily Email Report showing the previous day’s internet usage history.

clean Router 2

Clean Router was simple to install. Although I can’t take the credit for hooking it up –¬†I leave all things technology based up to my husband for fear that I will completely ruin the computer with something as simple as plugging in the charger cord ūüėČ My husband showed me that as soon as he connected it to the laptop it prompted him to follow the easy 5-step set up process (as seen in image above).

I highly recommend purchasing this product if you have children, teens, or young adults in your home. Even though us mommas love to tease that we have eyes in the back of our heads and can see everything, we all know that our ability to watch every move our child makes is limited. So why risk the split second it takes for a child to sneak away and type a few words that they heard from the older kids on the playground into a search engine and forever remember an image of something intended for adult viewing only.

You can purchase Clean Router on their website and be sure to visit their Facebook page for more info on what this amazing product can do.

Groupon Goods Deals: Back to School Items! {+ Beauty, Toys, Clothing}

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post written by Darlin’ Deals on behalf of Groupon. I was compensated for sharing this information.

As Summer quickly comes to an end (well not weather wise Рits 100+ degrees here) children and teens will be heading back to school as early as August. As usual the Back to School aisles at stores are crowded and already picked over.. so why not shop online?

Did you know Groupon has more than event and location discounts? They also have a Groupon Goods section with tons of products to choose from!

While I was browsing the site I came across a few items that would be great to purchase for the school year ahead. Personalized labels are great for keeping track of your little one’s school¬†belongings like pencil boxes, lunchboxes,¬†crayon containers and more. If your child will be going¬†into upper grades with more detailed art projects, crayons might not¬†be the only medium used – Groupon¬†Goods has a 48 count of markers in a variety of colors. Many schools now¬†offer electronic based assignments, so to keep those iPads and tablets charged you might be interested¬†in snagging a few extra cables from Groupon Goods.¬†Since backpacks can become bottomless pits¬†(much like a woman’s purse) organization products are crucial; Groupon has deals on handy bag organizers too.

I even spotted deals on beauty products and jewelry. Whatever you are looking for be sure to check out Groupon before heading out to stores because shopping from home is so convenient especially if you have small children like I do ūüėČ

Darlin’ Deals Review ~ StoneFire Grill Lunch Specials Menu!

Stone 1

Disclaimer: I was invited to a complimentary Media Tasting at Stonefire Grill for their new Lunch Specials menu in exchange for a review and was compensated with a gift card. I was not persuaded to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you have been following my blog for a long period of time you are probably familiar with 2 things about me personally; first I love being a stay at home Mom and secondly I love food! However, it is rare for me to have an opportunity to¬†enjoy delicious food while I spend time with my precious children. So when I was invited to attend yet another wonderful Stonefire Grill Media Tasting Event and found out that it was during lunch hour I thought I would have to¬†decline the invitation¬†as I would not have someone to watch my daughter during the day. To my pleasant surprise StoneFire’s¬†Event Coordinators welcomed the idea of bringing my daughter along. Now I know this review has yet to touch on the tasty food, but for any Moms out there I thought I would start out by letting you all know what a family friendly establishment StoneFire Grill is!

Stone Fire Mimis

The event was hosted at the West Hills restaurant in the sunny enclosed patio seating area which provided beautiful views of the rose bushes and tons of natural lighting perfect for a lunchtime meal. There was ample seating and the semi-outdoor feel provided comfortable setting for a family with small children (like mine).

The Lunch Specials Menu is the latest addition to StoneFire Grill’s ‘Freshly Prepared. Simply Delicious.’ food selection. The Lunch Specials Menu features many of their most beloved dishes paired with an individual¬†side item such as their mouth-watering breadsticks, garlic mashed potatoes, and side salads. Here’s where the Lunch¬†Specials at StoneFire Grill¬†are set apart from the usual Lunch Menus at other restaurants – portion size! As is the norm with StoneFire Grill their portion sizes are beyond generous and the lunch entrees are no exception. Every time I have eaten at StoneFire I leave feeling¬†satisfied from a great meal, without that weighed down over-stuffed feeling you get from Burger Joints, plus I have a To-Go box in hand with leftovers to enjoy for dinner!

A few of my favorites from the Lunch Specials Menu were the Sandwich + Side and the Petite Salad + Breadstick with the salad options being BBQ Chopped, South of the Border, or Golden State Kale. Being a BBQ lover I chose the BBQ Chicken Wrap from the Sandwich options and the BBQ Tri-Tip Chopped Salad for the Petite Salad selection.

My husband enjoyed the Petite Pesto + Breadstick as well as the 9″ Pizza + Side Salad. Both were super tasty re-heated later that evening for our dinner too! Oh and did I mention these fresh and tasty lunch entrees are all just $7?! With large portion sizes and a price that won’t break the bank StoneFire really hit the mark on a delicious alternative to the usual burger & fry lunches that most people gravitate towards when they¬†want to eat out on a budget.

If you’re not completely stuffed after enjoying your lunch entr√©e you will definitely want to try StoneFire’s Incredible Carrot Cake or even take home a dessert such as the Famous Fudge Brownies to enjoy later!

Stone Fire Lunch

So the next time you’re on a lunch break or even taking the kids out for an afternoon meal¬†remember your local Stonefire Grill restaurant has a wide variety of options for even your pickiest eater!

Sponsored Post: National Cancer Prevention Month!

CTCA-Valentines-Card final

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Cancer Treatment Centers of America Breast Cancer¬†through a campaign for CTCA and MomSelect. All informational content was supplied to Darlin’ Deals and compensation was given for sharing this information.

Did you know that February is National Cancer Prevention Month?

An important preventative test that women can take part in is getting an annual mammogram to check for breast cancer. The recommended age to start getting mammograms is 40, but you can discuss this with your Physician to see what the best age for you to began these annual exams based on your family and personal health history.

If your mother, daughter, or sister has had or currently has breast cancer statistically you may be twice as likely to develop the disease. The good news is that up to 90% of women who find and treat breast cancer during its early stages remain cancer-free after 5 years! That’s reason enough to take preventative steps to ensure your health by getting a mammogram every year.

There are many tests that can be done by a medical care professional if a lump is found including mammogram, ultrasound, and/or biopsy.

For more detailed information check out Cancer Treatment Centers of America’s website.
